【剪花磁 雛菊】

剪花磁（剪瓷雕）は、閩南(福建省南部)地方の民家や祠堂、廟宇の屋根を飾る伝統的な建築装飾である。古い白磁の碗や皿を割り、剪り、磨いて花びらの形に整え、一枚ずつ漆喰の上に嵌め込んで作られた雛菊。花芯には黄釉の磁片が用いられている。

色鮮やかな作品が多いなか、白磁のみで表現された作例は珍しく、その静かな美しさが際立っている。まるで雛菊が花開くような美しさ。

Crafted from fragments of white porcelain bowls and plates, each petal was cut, shaped, and polished before being individually embedded into a plaster base. Yellow-glazed porcelain shards form the flower center. Such decorative elements were commonly used on the roofs of traditional houses, ancestral halls, and temples in southern Fujian.

While cut-porcelain decoration is usually known for its vivid colors, examples made entirely from plain white porcelain are exceptionally rare.
