【醤釉小壺】

潮州・楓溪窯

潮州地方で日常的に用いられた小さな酒壺。赤土の胎に飴色の酱釉を施し、短い注ぎ口と丸みを帯びた胴部をもつ。
酒を注ぎ分けるための器として使われたほか、油や調味料を入れる容器としても用いられた。装飾を排した素朴な造形に、民窯ならではの実用の美が感じられる。

Fengxi Kiln, Chaozhou, Guangdong

A small everyday vessel made of red earthenware and covered with a lustrous brown glaze. Its rounded body and short spout are characteristic of domestic wares produced in the Chaozhou region. Used for serving rice wine as well as storing oil or seasonings, it embodies the understated beauty and practicality of southern Chinese folk ceramics.
