「黄芽金針」は、唐望を代表する生普洱茶であり、長年にわたり作り続けられてきた象徴的な作品のひとつです。

原料には、雲南省景谷県秧塔村に自生する景谷大白茶古樹を使用。景谷大白茶の古樹は非常に希少で、秧塔村周辺に数百本のみが残されています。樹齢は100年から300〜400年に及び、自然のまま育った茶樹は5メートルを超えるものもあります。春になると芽先は淡い黄金色を帯び、その美しい姿が「黄芽金針」の名の由来となっています。

景谷大白茶は、雲南大葉種茶の特徴をよく表す代表的な品種として知られています。唐望は毎年わずかな量だけを製作し、伝統的な普洱茶製法によって、この土地ならではの個性と古樹茶の魅力を丁寧に引き出しています。

2024年の黄芽金針は、澄んだ花香、やわらかな甘み、そして古樹茶ならではの厚みと奥行きのある茶湯が特徴です。繊細でありながら力強く、煎を重ねるごとに豊かな表情を見せてくれます。また、生普洱茶ならではの魅力として、年月とともに味わいがゆっくりと深まり、熟成による変化を楽しめることも大きな特徴です。

Huangya Jinzhen is one of Tang Wang’s signature Pu-erh teas and a tea he has continued to produce in small quantities for many years.

The tea is made from rare ancient Jinggu Dabai tea trees growing in Yangta Village, where only a few hundred old trees remain. Many are estimated to be between one and four centuries old, and some reach over five meters in height. Their pale golden spring buds give the tea its name, “Huangya Jinzhen” (Golden Bud Needle).

The 2024 harvest offers remarkable clarity, depth, and structure, balancing delicate floral aromatics with the richness and persistence characteristic of old-tree tea. Across multiple infusions, the tea reveals new layers while maintaining a calm, steady presence.

Like all fine raw Pu-erh, it will continue to evolve beautifully with age, making it rewarding both for immediate enjoyment and long-term storage.
