【白磁コーヒーカップ】

徳化窯

乳白色の釉薬をまとった、素朴な白磁のカップ。1970〜1980年代頃に徳化で作られた日用磁器で、コーヒーカップとして作られたものだが、すっきりとした形は中国茶にもよく馴染む。徳化は白磁の産地として知られ、日常使いの器から輸出向けの洋食器まで、さまざまな白磁を生産してきた。

手仕事による成形と焼成によって生まれた、わずかな厚みや形の揺らぎが残っている。コーヒーにはもちろん、紅茶や烏龍茶などにも使いやすく、用途を限定せず日々の飲み物に寄り添う器である。


【White Porcelain Coffee Cup】

Folk Kiln, Dehua, Fujian

A simple white porcelain cup with a soft, milky glaze. Made in Dehua around the 1970s–1980s, it was originally designed as an everyday coffee cup, but its clean form also works well with Chinese tea. Dehua has long been known for its white porcelain, producing a wide range of everyday wares as well as tableware for export.

The slight variations in thickness and form reflect the handmade character of its production. Suitable for coffee as well as black tea and oolong tea, it is an unassuming vessel that can be used freely for different drinks in everyday life.
