雲南省景谷で有機栽培された大葉種の白毫銀針。唐望さんが茶づくりを始めた頃に製茶し、15年以上大切に保管してきた貴重な茶です。

中国白茶の代表的な産地である雲南と福建は、それぞれ異なる品種と個性を持っています。熟成した雲南白茶は、時にプーアル茶を思わせるような厚みや奥行きを見せます。この白毫銀針は、雲南大葉種を用いながらも福建伝統の白茶製法で仕上げられており、白毫銀針らしい繊細さと透明感をしっかりと残しています。

大きく力強い芽頭と豊かな白毫が特徴。15年の歳月を経て、蜜香や棗を思わせる甘い香り、ほのかな薬香、落ち着いた木質香が現れ、味わいにも深みが加わりました。濃厚でなめらかな茶湯は、力強い回甘と長く続く生津を伴い、余韻も非常に豊かです。15煎ほど楽しめる高い耐泡性を持ち、ゆっくり煮出して飲むのにも適しています。

中国には白茶を評して「一年茶、三年薬、七年宝」という言葉があります。長い年月を経た白茶は、香りも味わいもより円熟し、穏やかな深みを帯びていきます。心身が疲れた日にゆっくりと味わいたい、やさしく温かな余韻をもつ老白茶です。

Silver Needle Organic Old White Tea

A rare aged Silver Needle from Jinggu, Yunnan, made from organic large-leaf tea trees and carefully stored for over fifteen years.

Yunnan and Fujian are China's two major white tea regions, each with its own tea varieties and character. Many aged Yunnan white teas gradually develop a deeper, richer profile reminiscent of Pu'er tea. This Silver Needle, however, was crafted using the traditional Fujian white tea method, preserving the clarity and elegance associated with classic Silver Needle.

The buds are large and robust, covered in abundant silvery down. Fifteen years of aging have transformed its youthful freshness into notes of honey, dried dates, cooling herbs, and aged wood. The liquor is smooth and full-bodied, offering remarkable depth while retaining a refined structure.

A strong returning sweetness and lingering salivation carry through many infusions, leading to a long, cooling finish. Equally rewarding when gently simmered, this is a beautifully matured white tea that combines the depth of Yunnan large-leaf tea with the elegance of traditional white tea craftsmanship.
